Our Story

AGDHI was founded out of a pressing need to address the glaring gaps in gender data that were hindering effective policy-making and program development. Our journey began when a group of passionate gender equality advocates recognized that without precise, disaggregated data, efforts to combat gender disparities were often misguided and ineffective.

Driven by a shared vision to create real, lasting change, AGDHI was established as a pioneering initiative focused on collecting, analyzing, and disseminating gender data. Since our inception, we have achieved significant milestones—launching the comprehensive Gender Data Hub, training over 500 professionals worldwide, and developing innovative data visualization tools that have been adopted by governments and organizations globally. Each milestone has brought us closer to our goal of making gender equality a reality through informed, data-driven decisions.
